Welcome to the website for University of Rochester’s HIS 203 Raising America’s Future: Childhood, Health and the Formation of American Social Policy.
For this seminar, the students worked in small groups and identified different kinds of archival sources that speak to larger questions in the history of childhood. Children generally have limited historical records, and the students were tasked with finding different ways to learn about the histories of children through available sources. Please visit the different web pages linked below to learn about the wealth of resources at our Miner Archives and read the students’ insightful analysis.
